We are proud to say that our property has a rich and everlasting history and not just in regards to our farming practices.
Over millions of years, volcanic activity has shaped the landscape which is generally flat except for the volcanic cones. These cones once spouted lava which formed the stones covering the plains. The youngest eruption points are less than 10,000 years old.
From then, our dry stone walls were crafted back in the mid 1800’s, under the inspiration of European migrants to help necessitate a clearing of land for farming and agriculture.
